The other day I went into Sephora and they have set up a few new stands all to do with colour correcting. I have always found it interesting how certain colours can cancel out others. So I decided to give the URBAN DECAY Colour Correcting Fluid, it was the mid range out of all of the ones on the stands and from a well known name.
I use the Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Foundation, and love the feel and finish it gives to my skin.
As you can tell from the following photo I have quite red/pink skin, this can be nice and can even make my skin look glowing, but sometimes I feel like my skin looks like I have been running a race and am all flushed. For me I feel a bit self conscious about it sometimes, especially in social situations.
I decided to try out colour correcting again, I did try use a green corrector from another brand a while ago but it was patchy and showed a green tinge through my foundation. So I was a bit apprehensive about trying it again but you just have to try stuff like this out to find what works for you.
I purchased three of the 5 colours that are available (what they say they can do on the back of the box):
Yellow - Corrects dulled with this yellow colour corrector and make darkness seemingly disappear.
Pink - Brightens dark circles with this pink colour corrector and look wide awake even if you're running on empty.
Green - Get the red out with this green colour corrector and make blemishes, redness and broken blood vessels seemingly disappear.
These were the only colours that I could test out on my complexion, I didn't have anything to test or take reference from with the other two. But with the results I got with the colours I have tried out I wouldn't be surprised if they did just as an amazing job as these.
As you can see after I blended out all the correcting fluids, I had an evener complexion and once I applied my foundation I was and still am very pleased with the results. I can still see some of the redness but I prefer to have some but not so much I can't wear blush. The Yellow and Pink Fluids did also lighten up my under eyes, I am not one who like to wear concealer under my eyes because it just has a heavy feeling but these fluids are so light and have a velvety finish, it doesn't feel like you are wearing anything but still lightens the darkness.
I would definitely recommend this product for people who want to just even out their colours in their skin for an event or for a day out.
