Having a good body scrub can make you feel so refreshed. I love making my own scrubs in different scents to go with what season I'm in. Here is a few recipes that are great for a weekly scrub or are also great a gifts for family and friends. All these scrubs last about 4-6 weeks, you can also store them in the fridge to extend the life span of your scrubs.

Coffee Sugar Scrub Coffee is great in the morning as a pick-me-up and also a glow to the skin. Coffee also has cellulite fighting properties, which combined with the sugar for double stimulation can help with that pesky cellulite (in combination with exercise and healthy eating).


1 cup of white sugar

1/2 cup of raw sugar

1/2 cup coffee grounds

1 1/2 tbsp of coconut oil

Lavender Sugar Scrub

Lavender is a perfect one to use before bed, it is relaxing to the senses and and also refreshing.

The Lavender essential oil is said to be useful in helping with anxiety, insomnia and restlessness.


1 1/2 cup of white sugar

1/2 cup of raw sugar

1 1/2 tbsp of coconut oil

6-10 drops of lavender essential oil (I used French Lavender)

 Lemon & Honey Sugar Scrub

Lemon & Honey is invigorating and lovely for both dry and oily skin. It is important to only use this at night as Lemon reacts with the sun, and can cause pigmentation and bleaching). It is also great for men as it is a neutral scent and perfect for people who are prone to getting dirty or sweaty. It is good for freshen up the skin and improve congested skin.


1  cup of white sugar

1/2 cup of raw sugar

1 whole lemon zest

1/2 a lemons juice

1 tbsp of honey
